Today the Episcopal Community Foundation for Middle and North Georgia (ECF) announces three General Grants to organizations that are lifting people from poverty and oppression in the Episcopal Diocese of Atlanta. The grants have been made to Intown Collaborative Ministries (Atlanta), St. Patrick’s Episcopal Church (Dunwoody), and St. Paul’s Episcopal Church (Atlanta).
“Each of these organizations has a long history of working with their respective communities to help those in need,” said Lindsey Hardegree, Executive Director for ECF. “What was particularly compelling about these specific grants is that each opportunity was born out of innovations required for the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic. Not only will these grants allow for service in this current year of uncertainty, but they will strengthen each organization’s operations after the pandemic has ended as well.”
ECF’s spring 2021 general grant recipients:
- Intown Collaborative Ministries, in partnership with the Cathedral of St. Philip in Atlanta, has received a capacity-building grant of $15,000 to implement a new database which will allow the organization to increase efficiencies in its programming and ongoing fundraising efforts.
- St. Patrick’s Episcopal Church has received a capital grant of $15,000 to construct an outdoor pavilion which will be used by Malachi’s Storehouse for their hot lunch service and will also serve many other uses for the parish.
- St. Paul’s Episcopal Church (Atlanta) has been offered a $25,000 challenge grant to provide capital funding for a mobile trailer and conversion of the trailer into a food pantry on-site at the church. ECF hopes that this challenge will encourage others in St. Paul’s immediate community to support this vital outreach ministry.
