Apply for a Grant from ECF

We are currently accepting LOIs for our Spring 2024 Grants. To be considered, applicants will submit a Letter of Intent (LOI) to Apply for Grant Funding. Based on the received LOIs, ECF will then extend an invitation to selected applicants to complete the full Grant Application. We STRONGLY recommend connecting with our Executive Director prior to beginning your LOI. If you have any questions about whether or not your parish or nonprofit qualifies, please contact our Executive Director.

Criteria for Applying

    • Organizational Status: We fund Episcopal parishes and their nonprofit partners based on the following criteria:
      • Either you are a parish/worshiping community in the Episcopal Diocese of Atlanta, have filed a current Annual Parochial Report, and comply with Canon 20;
      • OR you are a nonprofit organization with a substantial relationship with a qualifying parish in the Episcopal Diocese of Atlanta; you must also be a registered 501(c)(3) nonprofit or have a qualifying fiscal agent.
    • Mission-Oriented: We support ministries working with people experiencing poverty and oppression, particularly efforts around hunger, homelessness, generational poverty, refugees and immigrants, human trafficking victims, and people impacted by the criminal justice system.
    • Geographical Area: We support ministries working in our local communities in Middle and North Georgia.
    • Sustainable, Episcopal Partnerships: We prioritize collaborations that strengthen outreach ministry while also providing an opportunity for Episcopalians to experience spiritual growth through their service.
    • Project-Oriented Impact: As ECF’s grants serve the entire Diocese of Atlanta, projects which are oriented around capacity building and capital needs are significantly more attractive as they do not require annual renewal. ECF prioritizes requests that support creating new programs, expanding existing efforts, or innovative ideas and solutions.

**Please Note** Strong preference will be given to organizations that have not previously received funding.
If you have previously received ECF funding, please review our guidelines for reapplication.
