Spring 2024: ECF Grants $41,532 to Fight Poverty

Today ECF announces two Spring 2024 grant recipients: LaAmistad (Atlanta) and Northeast Georgia CASA (Toccoa).

Spring 2024 Grant Recipient: Northeast Georgia CASA

  • LaAmistad, in partnership with the Cathedral of St. Philip in Atlanta, has received a capacity building grant of $20,000 to expand their after-school program at the Cathedral of St. Philip from 2 days to 4 days, increasing education outcome for the children (especially in reading).
  • Northeast Georgia CASA, in partnership with St. Matthias Episcopal Church in Toccoa, has received a capacity building grant of $21,532 pilot a slate of initiatives aimed at equipping court appointed special advocates (CASAs) to provide trauma-informed care and support for children in foster care, including peer-to-peer support groups, counseling for CASAs, enhanced trauma training, and seed funding for the Lindy Harrell Fund.
